Ashok Banerji, PhD

Dr. Banerji is a JIU professor and content expert in the MEd program. He is the director of Digital Media Lab, Calcutta, India, a philanthropic organization, and was an International Telecommunication Union appointed consultant.

Dr. Banerji is Director of Digital Media Lab, Calcutta, India a philanthropic organization promoting education leveraging technology and was an International Telecommunication Union appointed consultant. He has been the recipient of several million dollars in funding for projects, including multimedia-based training for the semiconductor industry, virtual laboratories, and Electronic Performance Support Systems. Dr. Banerji is also an Adjunct Professor in Multimedia Computing at the College of Engineering and Management Kolaghat. Previously, he was Senior Lecturer for the Education and Staff Development Department at Singapore Polytechnic. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery.
