Donna Laffitte, MS

Associate Chair, Pathways Certification

Ms. Laffitte is currently in her second year as a Mathematics and Science Instructional Specialist for Denver Public Schools in Denver, Colorado. In this position, she supports 16 elementary schools around best practices and implementation of mathematics and science instruction and curriculum. Prior to this experience, she taught in the Miami-Dade County Public School District for 19 years. Roles there included Science Curriculum specialist, elementary classroom teacher and resource teacher.

Ms. Laffitte is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence Science and currently instructs a university course for candidates seeking National Board Certification. She has been a MetLife Fellow for the Teacher Network Leadership Institute and a member of the Teacher Leaders Network. She is presently on the Board of Directors for Teaching and Learning with the Colorado Education Association.
