Michael M. Spector, PhD

Professor and Chair of Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation, Syracuse University

Dr. Spector is the Professor and Chair of Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation at Syracuse University. Prior to coming to Syracuse University, Dr. Spector was Director of the Educational Information Science and Technology Research Program at the University of Bergen, Norway, Senior Scientist for Instructional Systems Research at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, and Associate Professor of Computer Science at Jacksonville State University. He specializes in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Spector's recent research is in intelligent performance support for instructional design and learning in and about complex domains. He has published numerous refereed journal articles and book chapters and edited special journal issues and books in his research areas.
