Roger Volkema, PhD

Associate Professor of Management, Kogod School of Business, American University

Dr. Volkema is an Associate Professor of Management at the Kogod School of Business, American University, Washington, D.C., and a private consultant to business and industry. He regularly conducts courses, seminars, and workshops in both North and South America on negotiation, conflict management, team building, the consultancy process, and organizational behavior. Dr. Volkema has authored over 50 journal articles and conference papers on these and other topics, developed a software package for managing teams, groups, and meetings, and published the book, The Negotiation Toolkit, on bargaining and negotiation for the American Management Association. He was a Fulbright Fellow at the Departamento de Administracao, Pontificia Universidade Catolica, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1988.
