Disbursement of FSA Funds

If you are admitted and registered for the appropriate number of hours and have completed all steps to accept the financial aid offered to you, FSA funds are sent directly to JIU and are applied to your JIU charges. If the financial aid credited to your account exceeds your JIU charges, you will receive the excess funds by check, unless you give JIU permission to hold the funds until later in the academic year.
