This course will provide you with an introduction to the field of computer information systems.
In order to understand computer information systems, it is important to look at the history of computers and information systems, as well as current and future technology. In this course, you will have an opportunity to become familiar with the hardware, software and technologies related to networking and e-commerce, digital media, e-commerce, systems analysis and design, as well as programming. In the course project, you will configure your "dream" computer system, either for your home or office.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
4X CD-ROM or faster Sound Card Pentium II MMX enabled or equivalent (Mac Users: PowerPC processor G3 or later) QuickTime 4.0 or later installed on your machine.
