Courses in this field used to be called "conflict resolution." The perspective taken in this course is that a certain level of conflict can be healthy for an organization. The focus is on the effective management of conflict.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Create various strategies for effectively managing conflict.
  • Establish a standard conflict management procedure appropriate to the organization.
  • Develop methods for managing external conflicts among the organization, vendors, unions, governmental organizations, and customers.
